This is my dog Cairo. He is a Border Collie, and is almost 3.
My family has had a really weird and interesting month so far. I'm also sorry that it has taken me this long to write a blog post.
The new year started out pretty normal we got back into school after Christmas break, and did our normal daily things.
The second weekend my mom and dad went to a wedding a few hours away. They were gone for 1 night and during that time my youngest brother got sick. I couldn't go to church the next day, but my other siblings still went. That evening my parents came home.
My brother and I booked tickets to go to my cousins wedding the next weekend. We would be gone for a week, we planned on driving to the airport Wednesday evening the 14th spend the night there and leave early Thursday morning, our plan was to come back was to come back on a late flight that next Tuesday and drive back home Wednesday. My dad was supposed to go to a men's seminar, and my mom wanted to paint our kitchen while we were gone.
This is where our plans spinned out control. On the 13th we got word that my Grandma died in a accident (she lived in Mexico). On the same day my dad got sick, and in the evening my oldest brother got sick. On the 14th we made plans to leave, we weren't quite sure if just my parents would go or if we would all go. I was hoping that my brother would get brother so we could still fly. In the end we all drove to Texas, other than my brother who still wasn't feeling to well. Her funeral was on the 17th the day my cousins wedding was and one of my friends birthday. I was really sad that I couldn't go to her wedding. We left Monday morning to come back home, and made it safely home Tuesday night.
My Grandma's death sorta came as a suprise. Not that she died so much (Which it was), but it more so how she died. My parents thought that she would die because of health reasons, not because of an accident.
It's funny how God has things planned, I guess He is teaching us how to trust Him when our plans fly out the window.
Now I am working on my presentation for 4H, and working on school. Next weekend we have 4h public speaking, and my mom, oldest brother, middle brother, and sister are going to a junior bible retreat. My mom and oldest brother are going along as leaders. I am going to stay home as a babysitter and food maker for my younger brothers and dad. I won't be babysitting my dad, but I will be making him food! Lol!
Have a good rest of your month!
P.S
Maybe I will post a video or write down what my presentation is about next blog post.
For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whoever believed in Him would not perish, but have everlasting life.
